The Sonoma Valley Interfaith Ministerial Association wishes to express heartfelt condolences to the membership of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church at the loss of their beloved Pastor Rich Gantenbein.
Rich was a founding member of the SVIMA and a champion of interfaith dialogue. Rich was always ready to do his share in service to the community; supporting the schools, serving on the board of the local hospital, work parties at Sonoma Overnight Support and a stalwart supporter of F.I.S.H. If it mattered to the Valley, it mattered to Rich. His commitment to Sonoma went beyond his role as pastor to one congregation, being of service was who he was at his core.
As faith leaders we have relied on Rich’s wealth of knowledge and generosity of spirit. He was a deep hearted man and he will be remembered by his colleagues for living a life of value with integrity. We will miss our dear friend; may he rest in peace.
